Tasting Notes

A delicious fresh chardonnay showcasing all the classic chardonnay flavours with a kiss of French oak

Green Straw

White Peach and Nectarine with underlying citrus notes, subtle French oak and slight flint.

Stone fruits with citrus characters, nice integrated French oak, slight creaminess, fresh acidic finish.

Food Pairings

Gruyere or Cheddar Cheese, Crab Cakes, Olives, Chicken or Pork dishes with a creamy base sauce.

Vintage Conditions

The 2017-2018 growing season was a contrast to the 2016-2017 growing season. Reduced soil moisture led to to reduced yields but provided periods of mild vine stress and high quality fruit. At Pauletts Wines we do not irrigate the vines and their root structure has developed to withstand irregular rainfall, heat waves and drought conditions superior to irrigated vineyards.

Awards and Accolades

Sometimes you just want a dinner guest will fit in with your motley crew of mates and family members; a people pleaser with charm and grace, enough depth to hold a decent conversation, but not so much attitude they split a room. This Chardonnay is a winner on all fronts. There\'s stonefruit and honeysuckle welcome, a touch of citrus, and a touch of French oak and clean, sharp acid finish. A great addition to the table. Even upir hard-to-please (shiraz-loving) grandpa will dig it.
